The FAROS project

After testing the ONDA Virtual Servers during a Copernicus Hackathon in Villorba, Italy and then further assessing our platform in the frame of our Free Trial Access programme, IPTSATdecided to transfer the FAROS solution – an application for precision farming – permanently on ONDA.

The main benefits were the fast availability after publication of Sentinel data as well the full archive of historical datasets on our Catalogue and the performance of our Cloud environment.

WASDI service

The WASDI service on ONDA – developed by ACROTEC Foundation together with FadeOut Software – is now fully operational and has been integrated with 2 processors of CIMA, one of the centres of competence of the Italian Civil Protection Department.

WASDI is the “Web Advanced Space Developer Interface” allowing users to search satellite data, visualise them on line, run algorithms, and display and evaluate the results.

The S2IGI project

S2IGI (Sistema Satellitare Integrato per la Gestione Incendi) is an Integrated Satellite System for the Management of Fires, developed by Nurjana Technologies, CNR-IBIMET and the Aerospace Engineering School of the Sapienza University of Rome (SIA).

Within the context of the project, the ONDA platform will be used to operationally compute and provide to end users burned areas estimates through change detection analysis by using Sentinel-2 images for the whole Sardinia region.

ESB Global Mapping

The Earth Starts Beating Global Mapping application, developed on the ONDA platform by the Earth Starts Beating project, provides the interactive visualization of global time series of Sentinel-3 data about the variation on the ground of geophysical quantities linked to the health of our Planet.

The ESB App is systematically updated with the new maps: the latest mosaics from March 2019 have now been added.

FOSS4G 2019 EO Data Challenge

As part of the FOSS4G 2019 Conference taking place in Bucharest on 26-30 August 2019, the EO Data Challenge is calling for start-ups, developers and researchers to come up with interesting open source applications using large volumes of EO data and state-of-the art technologies.

ONDA will sponsor the competition by providing the Virtual Infrastructure and support during the challenge and also by contributing to one of the available prizes.
  • Join the Challenge here (until 30 April)

Barcelona Copernicus Hackathon

ONDA is a sponsor of the Barcelona Copernicus Hackathon on smart cities organized by KIM on 11-12 May.

We will provide an introductory webinar on our platform and contribute to the prizes with a free access package to our platform.

ESA Living Planet Symposium

ONDA will be at the Living Planet Symposium taking place in Milan from 13 to 17 May.

Come and visit us at the Serco booth, we will be answering your questions and presenting demos of our platform.

    CAMS products

Data from the Copernicus Atmosphere Monitoring Service (CAMS) are now available from the ONDA Catalogue.
CAMS provides consistent and quality-controlled information related to air pollution and health, solar energy, greenhouse gases and climate forcing, everywhere in the world.

    SLSTR Sentinel-3 products for Land

Publication of SLSTR Sentinel-3A and -3B products for the Land application domain has started.
All new data are now being published systematically on our Catalogue, and the historical datasets will be gradually made available.

    Sentinel-3 Synergy products

The Sentinel-3A and Sentinel-3B Synergy products are now being published on the ONDA Catalogue.
Based on the combination of SLSTR and OLCI products, the SYN products’ primary objective is the monitoring of land use, but they also provide information relating to worldwide food security and to climate studies.
