OVHcloud-ONDA Hackathon: the winning teams

The OVHcloud-ONDA Hackathon took place during the ESA Φ-Week on 11-15 October. The Hackathon called for new ideas on how space big data serve the society and contribute to the economy growth, in line with the Phi-Week objectives.

During the conclusive Pitch contest and Awards ceremony on 15 October, a jury of experts from ESA, Serco, OVHcloud and ESA BIC Lazio (Lazio Innova) selected the finalist projects who developed, in the 48-hour span of the Hackathon, the demo applications that best responded to the purpose of the contest: the GISKY, Planetgissky and LOKY teams won the opportunity to use ONDA and OVHcloud services free of charge.

GISKY presented a project that aims at combining different technologies (Earth observation, Artificial Intelligence and Internet of Things) for dynamic and static monitoring of bridges and viaducts to create a Digital Twin of critical highway infrastructure.

Planetgissky proposed a GIS-based platform aimed at monitoring change detections of broad territorial assets and technological infrastructure such as railways, pipelines, highways.

LOKY focused on innovative soil monitoring systems that can provide local PAs with a terrain forecast in relation to global climate change.

We wish to thank ESA, all teams who participated and our partner OVHcloud for this successful and exciting event, and we look forward to supporting further the winning projects.
