ONDA will be at the forthcoming European Space Week 2019 in Helsinki from 3-5 December 2019.

The EU Space Week is the leading event for the European space programmes, bringing together business, policy-makers, international experts and the space application user community.

On Tuesday 3 December, we will participate in the General Assembly of Copernicus Relay & Academy Network with a Workshop session and two Meet the Experts slots (at 12:00 and at 17:15), where participants will be able to meet us, interact and ask questions.

ONDA infrastructure used for Cloud Computing training in Africa

From 11 to 15 November a Cloud Computing training event was organised in Morocco by ESA with the African Union Commission and in partnership with JRC and Eumetsat.
Some 35 representatives of national space agencies and regional organizations from 25 different African countries were taught how to access and process Copernicus data exploiting a DIAS platform.

All the ONDA Help resources – including our User Guides as well as our step-by-step Tutorials – have now been integrated in our web portal as online documents.
This means that not only can our users now benefit from an easier navigation through the various documents, but they are also able to search for specific terms and jump immediately to the relevant guide sections.

Sponsoring the “HACK4SEA” Copernicus Hackathon

As part of our sponsorship programme, and further to our previous similar experiences, we are sponsoring the forthcoming HACK4SEA Copernicus Hackathon, which will take place near Rome on 16-17 November.
Copernicus Hackathons are intense events where teams work on developing prototypes of new applications using the open data from the Copernicus programme.
The HACK4SEA event in particular will focus on the monitoring and protection of the Lazio region’s coastline and sea.

ONDA at the GEO Week 2019

ONDA is pleased to participate in the Industry Track program of the GEO Week 2019, taking place on 4-7 November in Canberra, Australia.

Supporting Brussels Copernicus Hackathon

The Copernicus Hackathon Programme, financed by the European Commission, brings together developers, entrepreneurs and topic-specific experts to develop new applications based on Copernicus Earth observation data and services.
ONDA will be supporting the forthcoming Sustainable Development Goals Copernicus Hackathon taking place in Brussels, Belgium, on 20-21 November.

Deimos Imaging joins Serco in improving the ONDA Data Relay Service

We are pleased to announce that Deimos Imaging is partnering with Serco to support our efforts in enriching and optimising the new ONDA Data Relay Service.
Deimos Imaging, a fully-owned subsidiary of UrtheCast Corp., is a Spanish commercial entity specialising in the operation and commercial exploitation of Earth Observation systems, and in the development, generation and delivery of Remote Sensing products. ONDA Data Relay Service

The new ONDA Data Relay Service, active since mid-August, allows users to request Very High Resolution (VHR) satellite imagery of both SAR and Optical multi-resolution acquisitions.
Our users are now able to order both Archive and New Acquisition satellite images over specific study areas as well as to trigger satellite monitoring services over features of interest at a desired frequency.
