Deimos Imaging joins Serco in improving the ONDA Data Relay Servicediaswpadmin
We are pleased to announce that Deimos Imaging is partnering with Serco to support our efforts in enriching and optimising the new ONDA Data Relay Service.
Deimos Imaging, a fully-owned subsidiary of UrtheCast Corp., is a Spanish commercial entity specialising in the operation and commercial exploitation of Earth Observation systems, and in the development, generation and delivery of Remote Sensing products. Deimos Imaging fully owns and operates the DEIMOS-1 and DEIMOS-2 satellites, by managing all uplink and downlink activities, as well as satellite control.
ONDA Users are now able to request images acquired by Deimos-2: a very high resolution (75 cm) multispectral optical satellite, designed to provide a cost-effective yet highly responsive service to customers worldwide. The spacecraft design is based on an agile platform for fast and precise off-nadir imaging (up to 45º), and it carries a push-broom very high resolution camera with 5 spectral channels (1 panchromatic, 4 multi-spectral).
The ONDA Team strives daily to improve both the quality and variety of our products and services. This partnership is another example of our commitment to help improve the quality and enrich the data offer of the ONDA Data Relay Service, which brings very high resolution satellite imagery to users’ fingertips by providing a one-stop access point for both SAR and Optical multi-resolution acquisitions.
ONDA already provides free access to one of the largest archives ever built for geospatial data and information, which includes:
- Copernicus Sentinel Missions
- Copernicus Services products
- Additional missions like Envisat and Landsat-8
Together with the ONDA co-located, reliable and scalable Cloud Resources suitable for any analysis scenario, the new Data Relay Service contributes to establish ONDA as the leading platform for end-to-end implementation of Remote Sensing-based services.
